A hollow has
been carved out
by horny claws.
Only gristle remains
clinging to-my rib-cage
COVID ate me
from the inside-out.
Whilst I looked
the other way.

Hmm,
I need a little time to endeavour to unpack this conundrum. Perhaps go away with it to Mount Solitary? Or better still the Warrumbungles. I have a little more space in my head nowadays with the arrival of the new minister a couple of weeks ago.
Have you ever considered putting your poetry to work as a response to particular art works, rather than old pain in the butt Covid?
We are currently looking at using space in the church to exhibit works, particularly works that respond to the Blue Mountains.
I hope your work is coming along well.
Grace and Peace,
Mel
